Sunset Garden Club was founded in 1992 by two women with garden club experience in Massachusetts and Virginia.  They wanted others living in the area to be able to share their interest in horticulture and floral design.  In late fall of 1992 Sunset Garden Club became federated with Nevada Garden Clubs, Inc. and in so doing, became a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.

The mission of our club is to share our love of plants by encouraging individual and group appreciation of all phases of horticulture and artistic design, by supporting civic beautification and by aiding in the protection and conservation of natural resources.
